Whats the deal? I thought that Chrysler was going to make upto 10000 of these 08 challangers. How come some dealers can only order one? I would think that as long as orders are open that any dealer could order them.

thats what I keep hearing on the "internet" but evertime i talk with a dealer , they say initial 4500, for the 08 3/4, the 09s will be different, I think that is where people are getting confused,

suppposedly they are making an initial run of 4500, then in may or june, it wil be called an 09, the same car, jsut an 09 instead of an 08, supposedly the production line will not even stop, just continue running after the first 4500

But I will call Jace tommorrow , he owns the dealership and will see if he can find out, Like I say the last time we talked, he said there would be an initial 4500 or so, basically one per dealer, and a few big sellers would get two, of the "08" models which are actually an 08 3/4 or in reality an 09, then they would just switch the vin to 09 and keep making the srt 8's
the so called 08 version is only available in the srt version, and in 09 they are supposed to extend the model line,

and to me this makes the most sense, come out with a srt 8, with a limited number, then go with the regular line, this way the dealers can also mark up the first version because some of the dealers Eddie and I talked with are marking up the 08 almost $15,000
