after my 70 vette slept a night outside at home in freezing temperatures , both  my mirror glasses felt of driving the first miles.... :D
Now i had the original chrome types with a rather weak way of bolting on the doors....so vibrating alot....
I was lucky to find a set of the later "race" model ( no more produced ) : a black one and a white ( original yellow :D) one... sanded them, painted my Cortez silver and... oeps, 3 evenings :D :D :D of fun to mount them...more sturdy 1/4" threads bolts did not match anymore the holes... stiffning beam in door made me make mounting bolts bended to the angle of the mirrors and the angle i could drill and "reach" for nuts inside.... but all ended perfect and i like the new look    did this sunday a little meeting with some porsche friends and mirrors are still there and fix ! :D :elefant: :elefant: :elefant: :elefant:
