Got some questions...

I'm not looking for 1500 HP or anything like that. I just want to be able to put a 10# pulley on the Roe and be safe. What will I need? mains, rods, pistons.... what else?:dontknow: And where's the best place to get them. I'd like to know what it's gonna cost so I know how much more I need to save. After that, I'll save for a rear end. I already know where to get that:sheep:

to be honest, you need rods, pistons, and billet mains, and there are a ton of people out there that can do this for you, but..............

pay the money , do it right the first time by someone that has tons and tons of experience and world records, that way you get the best, and have no worries in the future, and you will get it alot quicker too;) :marchmellow:

The people that work on my truck ( installed my Roe) Tators Dodge, said he would install forged rods mains cam ,ported heades and 10lb pully for around 13k:D
 
i sent pro line a email two days ago about the same thing, getting it forged they said they use underground racing for their viper motors.

dc performance quoted me 18k not including shipping, of course;)

That sounds about right, plus you have a new engine...you will put 750 to the wheels
 
I had just the pistons upgraded. The tune I believe is key and Joe Donovan provided 702 rwhp with only a piston upgrade. If I could do it again I would have upgraded the injectors and the rods.

I had the standard Paxton 8psi of boost and water/meth injection.

add stinkers tranny & rearend... some slicks... about 20K ... and you're good to go... BAM DONE
 
I remember a year or so ago I could get the short block for around 10-11k, but prices have changed so I will check,

No kidding. I was into my short block for about 13k, shipping and dyno testing included. That was for all the right ingredients, some of them custom coated.
 
I'm thinking rods,pistons,mains maybe a new camshaft and a ported Roe:rock: That's if my block can be repaired:dontknow:
 
So, let me get this straight. I'll be "safe" with rods, pistons, and mains using a 10# pulley? I figure I'll P & P the roe and heads too. Leave the stock cam.
Stinker- I will have it done right. I only want to do this once:)

We have a vendor that can hook me up????

Here is my task list...it should be done next week...and back in the truck by June 1st. Engine should be rated to 1200 hp...I will be pushing nearly 750 rwhp (est. until it is tuned by Sean) with the Roe 10 lb pulley.

And I am running the Stinker Rear End.

Forged Modification

Diamond Pistons, Pins, Rings, Coated deck and skirts
Oliver Rods
Main bearings, Rod Bearings coated
Cylinder Hone with plates
Line Hone
Deck Block
Nitride Crankshaft
Polish and Grind Crank to size
Balance full rotating assembly
Machine Block oil galilees
Chrome Moly Pushrods
Gaskets
New Pilot Bearing
One piece pressure relief valve
Complete valve job
Plugs
Shop supplies Labor


Expense about $13,000.

What are you doing to the fuel system Roy:confused: All the money your putting into the motor is not any good unless you can feed it some more fuel:D Mine maxed out the pump or the injectors on the top end with my tune at 601rwhp;) With 4.56's in my truck that would be around 630rwhp if I was guessing:dontknow:
