I believe that is the cast iron truck engine, not the Viper engine.

Yes it is my dad has the same motor in his 96 ram 3500 dually 4x4.

Yup, that's the non-viper truck 8.0l v-10 with some paint and headers.
Not many mods for it - I put a set of crower 1.7 roller rockers in mine along with some wires & k&n. You can go with custom stuff, but just not worth it in my mind.

I'm still quite happy with it for my rockcrawler 98 qc.

I wonder if they made any performance mods for that motor?

I thought it was. The 98 pace truck or the SS/T model because in Mexico those came with v-10
