His name is Jake Heglar.

Is there any word on how Jake is doing?

He is stable but still critical.Still in a coma.They said that he may be able to talk in a couple of days.I think they are keeping him in a medically-induced coma for his own good.His brain pressure dropped to 16 last night.It is back up today.Any stimulation causes it to go up,so we can't talk to him or anything.Just look through the window at him.

The guy that hit him was about 60 yrs old and he and his wife could never have children.He was in worse shape at the scene than his father.

Only seconds of inattention.The truck and trailer to pick up the bike was only 30 seconds behind the accident.Jake was on the side of the road and waved to Joy as she went to cross over the median,by the time she turned and pulled back,it was over.

Time really matters


Jake is on the far right in the gray shirt in the photo.His father next to him and then me,Landon on the left and Joy on the bike.

I am hoping for the best for him. Keep us updated whenever you can.

Jake is still stable.They were bringing him out of the coma when his brain pressure went up again,so they put him back under.They will do that again tomorrow.We are going to set up an account for him and his family to help with the bills that the insurance doesn't pay.Already have two clubs that are going to do poker runs and other fund raisers.
I'll try to keep ya'll posted.Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!

Update on Jake

He is home from the hospital and the rehab center.(with his parents now)Still has a way to go ,but he is doing fairly well.His wife kicked him out after only 4 days at home and got a domestic abuse warrant on him.He couldn't even open a bottle of Gatorade ,how could he possibly abuse someone.Anyway, she is going for half of everything he has in the divorce.Guess she never heard of Tammy Wynette ? (Stand by Your Man)
Still needs your prayers.Benefit dinner at Ocean City Harley Davidson on the 31st.
