Hey folks, i've been wondering how to fix the gap between the front
fascia and side panels.. Any suggestions?

As you can see it looks to be up on the mounts? all the way so i'm not
real sure if there are other adjustments? Also, is there supposed to be
something between the gap under the headlights? If you look closely
you can see what appears to be broken brackets?

Regards,

Andrew

i was wondering same thing about under the headlights. there is an adjustment in front of the tire but it doesn't do much.

Mark and Jimi adjusted mine, pretty simple. Open your hood look in front of the radiator and you will see two 11/16" bolts on each side of your bumper brackets. Loosen them adjust your bumper fascia up as far as you need then tighten bolts and close the hood. Best done with an extra set of hands, a little hard to adjust the bumper and tighten the bolts at the same time.

theres no brakets on mine that connect to headlights, maybe its the bottom bracket on front facia thats bent or not attached all the way

There are some brackets that hold the bumper up on those corners. The screw at the top of the front fascia in front of the tires screws into a clip that slips onto a thin piece of plastic in those brackets. I'm going to guess that thin plastic piece broke allowing the bumper to sag. It happened on mine. I'm going to order new brackets from Patrick/John at Avondale when I get home. I'd give you the part numbers but they are at my computer desk at home.

Looks like your front bumper MAY have some work done to it, or replaced. Look closely at the 2nd and 5th pics. Is there some overspray? Might try loosening the bolts and re-adjust the whole thing.

Thanks for the replies guys, as for adjusting it i'll take out the fenderwells
and remove the bottom cover tomorrow to get a better look see.. But yeah
this is my 3rd bumper so i assume that it will have to be adjusted. Not
real sure how to do this myself though.. When i get it apart tomorrow i'll
take a few pics and see if i can find anything that looks like it's missing.

I tried to tell you how to fix it you hard headed bastige:p :p :p :p

yeah yeah yeah, young = hard headed :p

But if you look in that last picture i don't think the bumper could be brought
up any higher because the hood grille is already touching the bumper? :dontknow:
It's in the corners man :dontknow:

The 06's have a seal that goes there to seal the gap. I wonder if this would work for you.

The bumper cover is pretty easy to take off. You might also be missing the foam blocks that go on top of the bumper in addition to the brackets being out of whack. They are near the inner edge of the headlights. It is easy to tell without taking it off. Just push down on the bumper near the headlights (closer to the radiator), if it feels like mush they are missing.

To remove the cover, take all of the belly pan bolts out and remove the torx scews from the innner fender area. You do not have to remove the inner fenders to do this.

(I might be wrong on the location of the blocks. They might be in the corners. I forget now.)

When you loosen those four bumper bracket bolts you can pivot the ends up towards the headlites

3rd bumper ???? what you doing mud boging ?

If your bumper is straight and you move it but it doesn't help.....try to unscrew the front cover where it bolts to the bumper in the wheel well and try to adjust it like that just slightly!

is this a pic of ur viper truck ? with a blower ?????

haha i could because we have mud pits but i don't think the tread is
exactly "self-cleaning" ;) Nah, the first bumper my dad hit a deer on the
way home from the dealership. Second time was when i spun the truck
around going up an icy hill in the winter. And the third time was when
i hit a deer coming back from my ex-gfs house.. :D

Are these the bolts i need to get at to adjust? They look like they've been
moved a little bit..

Also, i tried to get a 3/4" socket over the nuts infront of the oil? radiator
and it's a little bit big.. 11/16" is too small so i think it's an 18mm socket..
Does that sound right or is there an easier way to unbolt the four bolts?
