I am thinking of a new clip for my 04 RC.

Just the front bumper part, I've bottomed out too many times now it looks like crap .:(.

how much work is involded in that replacement ? I am finding clips online for $300+.

How much would a body shop charge to replace and paint it ?

When I got my truck it looked like the last owner had ran over a few big curves so I got a new one and a friend painted it and I put it on. So I don't know what it would cost to have it done, but it's very easy to remove the old one and install the new one. I think there are something like 8 or 10 bolts on the under side, 4 or 5 bolts in each wheel well, and I think 5 plastic pins where you raise the hood. Took maybe 30-40 min.

found that thread about 14 pages back. looks like I am not the only one with that problem.

A websearch turns up an 08 style for the older 10s

http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templates/frmTemplateP1.asp?CatalogID=25234&Zoom=Yes&SubFolderId=679

that and a pair of mirrors

http://www.discountautomirrors.com/catalog/?N=1607+10104+4294965403&Nr=AND(part:Mirror,brand:Kool%20Vue)&Ns=price8|0

should be just the ticket, both parts look like hell right now. I am not sure what I hit but one of the lower bolts has punch through the lip of the lower air dam. I'll spare you pics it looks nasty.

I can imagine what it looks like mine too had one hole and 2 big bumps where the bolts had been pushed through and the drivers corner had a crack. It drove me nuts till I had time to fix it!

Wish I had seen that bumper before I got my new one. It'll look sweet on your truck!

That looks the the front on my 06. Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesnt the 04-05 have cutouts (not cutouts, but areas shaped) below the headlights. Wouldnt this still be needed on 04-05's? :dontknow:

most body shops will charge around 400 to paint a bumper cover and install and i'm getting an SRT cover and the whole kit is 500 so i bet its like 350 for the replace menat from ART

sounds like i might need to be careful which bumper cover I order. I am pretty far out there ( far left coast). Anything I order would have to be shipped quite a long way...
