Fuel Cells....do I need one?

Just remember most fuel cells are not setup with a fuel guage. Make sure you get one with a guage setup.

I was thinking about a fuel cell for my truck....since we now have 3/4 line coming out of the fuel tank to the fuel pump.... if the fuel gets down to say 1/4 of a tank and I am stopped on a hill the truck will quit running.....basically runs out of gas for a short time till the fuel can pick back up.

So If I install a fuel cell.....do away with the existing fuel tank and place the fuel cell behind the cab in the bed of the truck...say a 22-30 gal Cell so I can have some range.....maybe this problem will be fixed.

Your thoughts?

That's a good idea on the fuel cell Walt:) - and if you get that piece of junk stock gas tank out of the way, then you will have plenty of room to install a long set of lift/ladder bars and you will get some REAL traction outta your truck!! -

The ladder/lift (leading link suspension) bars are old style but they work - ask Jerry of Fast Jack :D - Cuz, Old guys rock :D You will pull wheelies!!! :dancing: :star: If you do install them, weld the center section to the axle housing tubes or they will twist out on you.. :D

Check out the suspensioin under the old 60 - 64 Chevy pickups. They are set up the same as Nascar

For drag racing they would be better parallel to the frame.
