I’ve got a very small fuel leak at the top of the fuel tank where the fuel pump is. It’s not quite enough to drip on the ground, but the sides of the tank is getting wet and it’s evaporating as it flows down the sides. I am pretty sure there must be a very small crack in the plastic fuel tank connection to fuel line. I’m still getting 18 miles per gallon doing 75mph on level highway, so it’s not leaking that much. I am curious if anybody else has experience something similar and there was an easy fix although I really doubt it. I see rock auto has a replacement fuel pump assembly for $115 which seems very reasonable to me as anybody else had any bad experiences or good experience experiences with replacing their fuel pump

Youll have to drop the tank .. very dangerous condition as you know to see whats leaking ..
Check the hoses and evap system since it also runs hoses to the top of the tank and can cause fumes or leaks ,, crack nipples and hoses are common with evap systems and can cause emmisions test failure .... Check for codes which can help diagnose the evap system ..

Liquid fuel is not flamable the fumes are !
