how much do our motors such off of our fuel pumps? the reason i'm asking is cause i'm planing on running a 175 or 200 shot of nitrous... i'm just trying to figuer out how big of a shot i can do safely with out starving the motor an causeing a lean condition...hope this makes sence lol

You should be fine at 175 with a wet shot as far as fuel/fuel pump goes. 200 you are starting to push the limits, not just the fuel, but the internals. Take it from a twisted piston rod Club Member.

You can hook up a fuel pressure meter real easily and try it on the dyno before the track.

I was watching Torre last year in Macon tune, I believe Ironhead's truck (correct me if I am wrong) with a 175-200 shot...the fuel pressure was starting to drop at the higher rpms (Above 5K).

Sorry, I don't know what your mods are?

i'm fully forged now! while you've been away i've been busy!:D
it's cool man no big deal forged callie rods forged JE pistons Port an polished heads bumped compression custom nitrous cam.... built for a 175 200 225 shot an alot more mods than that:D
so you say the fuel starts dying off about 5k...hmmmm i know i'm going to have to run a fuel system just for the n20 system.. but i really want to get it ready for the gtg on the 18th!

That was my truck Bones...no NO2...just 9LBs boost with a Roe...made 670HP at 4700 RPM then the pressure went south..

Pretty much the same story here

ok so with the stock injectors and stock fuel pump do you think i'll be safe for a 175 shot? it will be close to 650 on a 175 shot..thats about what a roe put down correct?

FatJack is running 175 shot (or was it 200:dontknow: ) with stock injectors...he had his truck tuned right after mine in Macon last year w/o problem..

That would be the good test case for him. Tooloe give Torre a call, he will remember the run and tune. I was looking over his shoulder sneaking a peek at the run.

Torrie dynoed mine with the 150 shot, felt great. I could tell a performance difference with the 200 shot later.

with the 200 shot were you starving it for fuel?..thats all i'm concerned about i don't want it to go lean.. i've got a nitrous tune. just for timing..because i just got the truck back a day ago..... but i just don't want it to go lean
