Fuel Rail quick connect fitting

The service manual is not clear on how to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. I suspect it requires a special tool for the viper engine. Does anyone have the answer. It would save time and I won't damage anything. I've already released the fuel pressure. Thanks, Murray.

go to auto zone they have the part to do what you need.

its just a plastic tool that slides around the rail and holds the fitting open. you can get a kit from advance.

You oughta see the results of getting one of those fittings apart without the tool. I practically destroyed the fuel filter on my Vette getting that fu@ker apart (didn't matter, since the new filter replaced that end of the coupling).
