Figured this one is a no brainer with the rising cost of tank gold;)

Post up your tips, here is some of mine.

lower speed, 5 mph under posted limit......this one sux, but works.

short shifting....the sooner the better.

coasting, to any stop, or downhills.

Tune up, filters, oil , plugs , wires....all works together.

Tire pressure, keep it up, less rolling resistance.

Dont idle when unneccessary

Run sythetics in the gear bbox and rear axle.

Make all your stops in one trip, avoid going twelve placess for 12 items.........ladies:p

Tips? tips? anymore tips?:marchmellow:

Paint a road scene on the inside of your garage door and sit in your truck and act like you are driving it..infinite miles per gallon..and almost as fun as really drving..:marchmellow: :dontknow: :p

Adding 5.5 oz. acetone per 10 gal. gas seems to help mine get 1-2 more mpg.I think it has something to do with it running cleaner ? There is a thread on here about somewhere

There is a website deicated to fuel saving tips, but I don't remember what it is. I saw it on the news this week.It is about a method of driving to obtain "hyper-mileage".It employs a LOT of the tips that Stinker already listed, such as driving a little slower, anticipate stops and slow rather than using the brakes, coast downhill. All about thinking "smooth".No sudden take-offs and stops,no quick acceleration.A hybrid car driven normally got 40 something mpg.Using the hyper-mileage method it got 70 + !!!!!!!! And it only took a few more minutes !

If I remember correctly, they had one hybrid car that they drove over 2,000 miles on one tank of gas using this system, which was over 150 mpg !!!!

Might be worth checking out.
