Everytime I start my truck it makes this really disturbing noise when I rev it above 2200 RPMs. It stops after the oil temp goes above 170 F. I will try to record the sound and post it...:(

That is what my truck does. I think it is the oil cooler not opening all the way or something with the oil cooler. Is this your sound?

Yep...you can feel it on the gas pedal...You know the sound that old bicycles made when you squeeze the brakes(Rubber ones)...That's what it sounds like...

i believe it is normal because the oil was cold and it is trying to warm up, you could try push gas lighty for maybe three times it will go away it happened to me sometimes during winter im sure it will gone during spring and summer

This is a different sound. Plus it is actually felt in the pedals. Doesn't do it when it is very cold. Only starts once the oil is a little warm (off the peg). The sound also will vary by RPM's.

Rick I did manage to let my tech hear the sound just a little. The truck was too warm to get a good feel for the sound, but he did feel the vibe. He is thinking oil cooler also. Once I get the answer I will post up. So far I have not have any negative effect from the sound.

Smoke

I sure hope it isn't the oil pump...and thanks Scott...I look forward to your findings...

nah...most dealers I don't trust...plus they would just blame the supercharger..

Rick the next time your truck is cold start it up and open the hood. Once you are in the range for the noise move the throttle cable and see if you can isolate the sound. The oil cooler or oil cooler lines seemed to vibrate the most on mine.
