This kid was really fun to watch........in his ballcap sitting on the bed with his guitar wailing away to Palchelbel's Canon......... He's playing as fast as he frickin can, tapping and screaming away....... (his youth is refected in his playing a bit ...a few miscues....) but all in all it was really fun to watch.......

Thanks, Patrick....

I cannot play at the speed or at his level, but I have been playing long enough to know the he was pushing the phrasing a few times and even hit some bum notes, but I loved it. I want hear more of his stuff.

Alright guys I will try a new link for you nolinkyworky types!!!

This one should work. Its the original u tube that started it all!!!

I just watched it again..........holy shit this kid is good. Its like a metal guitar masters class!!! Lots of Joe Satriani and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) in his playing. I love this shit.

This has been floating around the guitar forums for a few years now. The kid is pretty good. His tapping and sweeping need a little refinement, but by the time he's old enough to vote (in this country), he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

There was another series of videos with a Japanese guy known only as "The Dentist" due to his real occupation. Apparently he was a MASSIVE Paul Gilbert (www.paulgilbert.com) fan. He would play PG pieces note-for-note, but the videos only showed him from the chest down. We never saw his face. I don't think anyone ever figured out who he really was.

If you like canon's, check out the guitar duel between Ralph Macchio and Steve Vai from the movie "Crossroads":

"Jack Butler's gonna like you....":D

NOTE: Ralph Macchio's parts were actually played by guitar guru Ry Cooder (pseudo-mimed in the movie by Mr. Macchio). As expected, Mr. Vai's parts were all played by Mr. Vai himself. :)

Kevan, Paul G rocks. I absolutly love Mr. Bigs, Lean into It cd. I still listen to that once a month.

Stevie Vai, while he is virturoso, he uses to much wammy for my tastes. I like his work with DL Roth more than his original stuff. Skyscraper is a monster album in my eyes.

I watched that clip to Crossroads......I had forgoten about the classical part. That was cool.
