Part of what was suspose to be fixed before my warranty "issuse(s)" arised was my gas gauge randomly going to "E". The guage works from full to 3/4 of a tank then goes to E from 3/4 to about 1/4, then it works again... My last truck that did this I had to drop the tank and replace the fuel pump assembly(alot of work). I assume it's the same for ours. I want to know is there any way around dropping to tank to fix that?
FYI - It's '05 RC 8,500 miles w/ no mods. Dealership is OUT OF THE QUESTION.

Well tad more info.
Price for part is 156.40. P/N - 5134555aa.

Just wondering...if you only have 8,500 miles w/ no mods, why is the dealership out of the question? Warranty should still be good for this repair. :dontknow:

Agreed... your warranty should cover you for that at least until 36k miles... I dont see how any mod would affect your fuel gauge... :dontknow:

Exactly, a lowering kit isn't going to void your warranty.
I don't want to go into it but the dealer screwed/took advantage of me,(I don't care ne more). My truck will never see another dealer, if I fix it I know it's done right. I work on trucks all day, plus infomation off here(huge help), plus a very helpful uncle and I can fix anything. Two hours, 150$, and I can fix/clean/paint anything I want while I am under there, and I know it's done right and there is no stressfull BS. I just know some people have tricks for some stuff and .
