Steve, You can not listen to Silverback when it comes to weight distribution, if you remember he is the guy that spun his Cobra around in the road in front of the local police. See Justin for his Battery relocation box to move your heavy ass battery to the right rear of your truck. I really want to see your Roe truck, are you coming to the GTG at Boomers again next year.

Thanks. ;) :D

Do you need to move the tank to make room for the 4 link Dale? If not, I would wait and see if you really need to do it or not. I think the 4 link is going to give you such weight transfer that moving the tank may not be worth the effort.
Right now, the thinking is that the tank is in the way of the 4 link. I wish it was not. I have no desire to move it, as I am sure 34" of rubber contact and 4 link will solve the traction issue.

actually the tank should be decently protected , by the bar running across the rear of the truck,
One would always put the tank at the front of the inside of the bed also.

but most of all , the ones that are going to relocate the tank is mostly the ones that are going to a form of four link, and those trucks really dont get driven that much.

things can and will happen, but like with any modification, anything is possible:D

hopefully the fourlink I am trying to work on , will not require the moving of the tank,

yeah i was considering relocating fuel tank but waiting on stinkers 4 link (starts tapping foot) :)

I talked to Jack this morning, and he (with Stinker) is talking to a 4 link company next week. I am defenantly watching intently as this develops, as I am already committed to seeing this threw. If a solution is available that allows for my BIG tires and 4 link without having to relocate my tank, I am down for it. Heck that saves me money in parts and fabrication.

Is there a universal kit or does everything have to be fabbed from scratch?

The company has kits, but I do not think they are quite appropriate for our trucks as is. It is my understanding, that with a little bore beef, they could be suitable. But I am not knowledgeable in this. Like the others, I am watching to see what develops.

i can see how the gas tank may be in the way of the upper link. I think its definitly worth a go not just for speed but also for all arouind safety

you don't need extra 300 pounds on the rear driving in town ... only at higher speeds... haha, A WING !

You could always have Barry lay down in the bed with a Cheeseburger ;) :D

If you check into the Viper gas tank, you'll find it will fit quite nicely into the spare tire area. The pumps and lines are a direct fit. Also, The fourlink will be much easier to mount with the tank out of the way. As far as safety concerns, I believe that you should not fear rear collisions since you have much more structure in the rearend compared to getting hit from the side, at least the same distance if you measure both areas.
