Ok, this is for the U.S. folks.

Gas prices should all be within a nickel of each other when it comes to gas stations that are all on the same corners of an intersectin right? right!, but when its 0.20c difference, it makes me wonder why. Is the gas at 7/11 that much better than at shell that they can charge that much more? do vendors really matter? Opinions are nice, but facts are better please.

I go on gasbuddy.com to find the cheapest in the area, but I dont want to fuk my vehicles up if thats the case.

i get my gas at the same place every time... i don't care how much it is...

i go there, fill up, they know me and turn the pump on, and they DON'T have ethanol in it...

No name stations can buy the cheapest fuel out there. All everybody does is add their additives to the truck just before it leaves the refinery. So yes some fuel is better and as far as pricing goes its all up to the owner.

i have had vehicles that run better on different and get better fuel economy off different gas as far as the 10 goes i have only 1 station i go to when ever i fill up they don't have ethanol in there 93 octane. rest do and are only 91 octane. (mine is sct tuned for 93 octane)

This may b a stupid question but how do u k.ow that they have no ethanol and did u just get lucky to find that station ??

There is a website that tells where to get non-ethanol gas from in most cities. I bet Viperhauler know it, lmao:D

EDIT: Viperhauler is busy taking care of manly customers....:D
The answer to NON ethanol gas in your area is pure-gas.com.;)

Consider me not a resident expert when it comes to fuel, but what is the big deal with Ethanol being in the fuel?

Ethanol robs us of power and MPG! It is 90% gas with 10% ethanol which is another form of alcohol. It evaporates quickly and attracts moisture! It sux! Now, with a good tune it actually can actually run fairly good, but it has a different STOICH ratio or perfect Air/Fuel mixture. It actually runs leaner in most cars which in turn your O2 sensors see the lean condition and ADD fuel, in turn decreasing mileage.

E85 on the other hand is only 15% fuel and mostly Ethanol and many tuners are changing the stoich factor in the PCM to accomadate the leaner fuel. Usually bigger injector are also used as you have to flow/burn more E85 to get to the Stoich A/F ratio. \

For our trucks and most vehicles in general it is better to find a non-ethanol pump to get gas from . That way you actually get your money's worth and get your power back as well as the few MPGs.;)
