I posted under visual mod's cause it's for measuring vacuum only (for the time being:D )

I got a SRT4 vac/boost gauge from ebay.
this is what I got right now:

I want to relocate the oil temp and Vac Gauge on the steering pod and move the 3 digital on the A pillar. Guess it will look better no:dontknow:

I read the SRT4 gauge illumination doesn't match the stock oil gauge but I didn't find a suitable bulb which could solve it.

Has anyone tried/investigated this?

the VDO gauges for the Porsche have white bulbs and included are green and red plastic caps to pull over them.... i remember very tight fit to get those little suckers on them....:D :D ... not so at home ... :dontknow: :p :p

I had the A pillar 3 gauge pod with the Auto Meter 4376 Vac/Boost, the AEM a/f meter for a year and a half, and the stock oil temp gauge. I recently moved the boost and a/f meters to the steering column pod and like them there a lot, and reinstall the stock A pillar pod with oil temp. Now I can monitor all my guages that are important in one spot. Before it was difficult to monitor the A/F while making passes at the track, but now its the first gauge I see. I should have done this a long time ago.

BTW - I'm using the Red LED upgrade bulb rather than the stock one with the condom over it.

I could snap a couple, but would have to wait until tonight to show you them lit up. The LED bulbs are really bright compared to the stock buld with the condom.

can you get a green LED bulb and put a green condom on it too, then would it be close to the stock oil temp gauge colour then??

I've looked at trying to get the color matched but haven't been able to get it close. You have 2 options on trying to get it to match:

Green LED w/ Blue condom, or Blue LED w/ Green condom. Not sure which one would be closest.

Here is a pic of my steering column gauge pod. On the left is the Auto Meter 4376 Vac/Boost gauge and on the right is the AEM air/fuel meter. I used to have them on the A pillar but found it very difficult to keep tabs on the AEM on the A-pillar.

You won't be disappointed. It took me a year and a half to finally decide to make the move, and I'm glad i did. I only wish I did it sooner.
