The advantage of an electrical one is that you only have to run a wire to the gauge. With a mechanical one you need to run a tube.

Generally mechanical guages are more accurate.

So the question is ease of installation verse accuracy.

Based on info here I am getting the AEM wideband air/fuel ratio gage. I understand I should also run a boost gage. Is there a benefit to using the electric version over the mechanical version?

Thanks for the input.
where do you plan on mounting your gauges ?

These are the ones that Mike (nowwhat) and I are running...they are ALL digital!

:dito: I always preferred the mechanical gauges even though they are a little more work to install sometimes.

I showed these to Dale. These are what are going back on my ride, in addition to the FJO meth injection system.:D

I just ordered the AEM wideband and the mechanical ultralight II boost gauge.

Thanks for the input.

Alright guys, few questions here..

is the AEM more accurate than the Autometer in terms of air/fuel ratio?
are carbon fiber gauges tacky/ricer?
and i was reading ALOT of the guage posts and no one directly mentioned the size
of our gauges.. are they 2 1/16"?
i plan on getting a A-Pillar 3 pod with Oil temp.(replacing stock),boost, and A/F
i see that you guys like the FJO meters... but i don't really have a need to tune
my truck.. :dontknow: this is eventually for a blower application so just a little
heads up :)

Thanks,

Sharpi

I was getting ready to ask about gauges. I read somewhere someone had the SRT style gauges that match the one that comes with the truck in the pillar. Anyone help me here? I'd like to match em if possible (although the digital ones looks sweet and more accurate).
moparconnection? any ideas?

Thanks,

Speed

The ultralights match the style pretty well.
The AEM has the same color, but it does not have the same profile.

justin can help you, i deleted his pm or i could answer that question

most gauges including tachs can be bought from dodge direct with the srt logo in them and are a exact match to the stock one. if you want one a lil cheaper, the ultralite 2's are identical but have no logo. the differance between the ultralite and the ultralight 2 is the lighting at night. the 2 is lit like the stock one and the original is just a bulb stuffed in the back. if you really want to, you can also hook the ultralite 2 up to the oil temp gauges imput wire for the light, then you can dim them with the rest of the lights
