GEN IV main bearings

So far it sounds like only Prof is running them? Do you guys feel that the 1000+ horsepower builds need these bearings? I understand that the groove is beneficial, but after these things are coated they would cost $1500 Canadian to buy them. I think thats just a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Someone here used the same builder I did (John Edwards, he builds the engines for Archer Racing)...it may have been Ram for Hell...

He may also have the Gen IV main bearings too. John wanted them to be sure my engine was good to 1200 hp...I just said yes, didn't do any research. Just thought if the new Vipers needed them at 650 mine should have them too.

Gen IV OEM?

NO,Gen III, I wish they were Gen IV's:rock: ,sounds like the Gen IV's are crazy priced, but when were in this deep with a build if thats what its going to take for a little reassurance of duarability and longevity what do ya do........spend the cash and do it right:rock:

Keep in mind guys these bearings are very new to the market but Underground has built 1000hp+ Vipers for years that haven't had any issues. I'd rather have coated Gen III than uncoated Gen IV. I'm all about doing things right the first time but I don't know that these are necessary.
