I'd like to know what everyone thinks about these reviews.....

With reports of the tires coming apart and being out of round, it sounds like the same old POS General Tires to me......

But those members here who've purchased them disagree with the assertion that General still makes a shit tire.....

Here's the review: I'd love your opinions........

There are certain things I would hate to skimp on......vodka....toilet paper....lasik... and tires....:dontknow:

I've got a couple thousand miles on mine and they're great. Great traction, handling (wet & dry). The old Pirelli's had the truck dancing all over the place but the Grabbers are rock solid. As things are now, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. They may have had a bad rep in the past but at least with the Grabber UHP's the bad rep does not apply. In the 1010tires reviews, the first reviewer stated a size of 31/10.5X 15. The Grabbers are not even available that size and I question whether the F250 driver was running UHP's too. Check out these reviews.

Now this is just my personal opinion, and I have not had a set in many years, but I would not put them on my wheel barrow.

But then I'm one of those types that if I go somewhere and get bad service, I will never return.

I had a set on my Z car a while back (15 years ago and they were'nt UHP's) and I was not impressed with them. But after reading all the positive reviews by everyone and the resonable price for them. I had to give them another try. And I'm glad I did banana breath. :D

I will be very interested to see how these tires work after a few thousand miles.

Any new tire feels good for a few thousand miles.

My 05 Dually came with Generals. There were ride and vibration issues from the start. After 2 attempts to ride match and balance them we switched them over to 12 ply Michelns. The Michelins were a much heavier tire. After switching to the Michelins the ride and vibration issues disappeared. Now with 20000 liles on the Michelins they stay balanced and ride very smoothly.

Got them on my truck. No more wheel tugging, hydroplaning, hard-ass ride that I enjoyed from the stock tires.

Seems like a mixed opinion.............

Anyone else had these tires and want to contribute.........?

Thanks for the input, guys....

Most of us here would agree that Pirelli is a premium tire mfg. Although, you would be hard pressed to get anyone on this forum to agree that the Pirelli's on our trucks are good tires.

There is a long..very long list of people who have had problems and hate the OEM Pirellis.

I read a report years ago that most tires are primarily made in 3-4 different mfg plants...even though that there are dozens of brands out there. Now this may not be true today but if so, wouldnt it imply that our 22 inch tires are only produced in a couple of differnet places. :dontknow:

After years of owning performance vehicles, I say bah phuckin humbug to the onus that the best tire are the most expensive.

Although, wont argue with the Vodka, toilet paper or lasik issue ;)

You could stay with the stock tires and be happy. If you were close, I would let you take my truck for a spin to get a feel for the Generals. It's like buying a motorcycle, no test drives until after the purchase. Good luck "D". :D

They don't rate too badly...... I'm just hinky about the customers who've reported faulty construction.
