Getting a paxton!

I want twin superchargers!

In 2 years I'll have a beautiful marriage of paxton and roe! That ought to be fun!:rock: :D :burnout:
 
A Paxton feeding the Roe? Will it even work? I mean... the Roe can only spin so fast:dontknow:

I think 2 Paxtons would be pretty sweet. One on either side on the motor:D

AFAIK, the Roe would be compressing the air further, regardless of speed. Compound compression has been done before, and it's being done today by Volkswagen (turbo and a blower on a diesel). The real issue on a setup like this would be the significant heat generated by the second stage compression of the Roe (unless there's a substantial IC post-Roe). You would certainly be cooling the Paxton's charge before it hits the Roe, but it's still likely going to be higher than the ambient temps the Roe would see in the first place w/o the Paxton.

Second on the list would be belt slippage. It's bad enough running one compressor on the serp belt, let alone two. Even with supreme wrap on the drive pulleys, you'd have issues.

Although the Paxton would be a mechanically easy thing to add to the Roe, from an efficacy standpoint, adding a turbo to the Roe would probably be better. Then again, if you add a turbo, you'd probably sell the Roe.:p
 
sell the roe and get a procharger or turbo

The Paxton can't move enough air to feed the Roe. It would just act as a "preheater" for the intake charge. You would need at least a Procharger F1R+ to be able to compound the boost (and it would only make 4psi pre-Roe). Have to admit though if I was going to compound boost my build I would add turbo(s) to the mix. The Roe is most efficient down low and the turbo's up top. That way you get the best of both worlds? No traction anywhere, anytime.

I have to ask, how are you planning on getting any of the power to the ground (or is that the plan:D )? Going to convert it to AWD (4x4) like I am doing with my Durango?
 
It would be sweet. The Roe launching you at low rpm's and the turbo's would just keep the power multiplying. No lag anywhere, just need BlackViper's intercooler to keep the intake temps in check!

I got my tickets! It's at 245Mil so after taxes, cash option, etc... I will have a couple grand left over to finish my build!:eek:

Dan at dcperformance tuned this one to a mile/run record in L.V.
Something a little over 198/mph in a standing-mile-run. From a dig. :congrats:

Not compound boost but 1200cfm to each side. That should generate at least 15psi on a fully built engine. That is the equivalent of a Procharger F-2.
