Hey guys, its been awhile.

I just wanna run something by you all and also get some answers.

My ex-wife stole my truck last August while I was working in Denmark,
and I havn't seen it since. There was a court case and she lost, I am
about to see it and hopefully drive it for the first time since then on
Tuesday next week.

It has been kept outside copmletely uncovered from August last year
and has seen a serious winter, dropping as low as -35 and constantly
below 0 for over 4 months. Its also seen many feet of snow and has
been burried under tons of it for sometime.

Before it was taken it had not been run more than 100 miles since
having the engine fully forged, new callipers, disks, pads and much
much more.

Questions.

1) Will I have any issues with the truck because of the heavy winter.
2) Will the body work be ok?
3) Will the callipers, disks and pads be ok?
3) Is there anything I should do before trying to start it.

I've been on edge for the last 8 months and now finally the day has
arrived, but i'm seriously worried about any issues.

Thanks for any help.

Mark

1) Will I have any issues with the truck because of the heavy winter.

Moisture is never good... but the cold won't hurt it. If everything was below zero and frozen you should be okay. If it was in contact with moisture that long you might have other issues.

2) Will the body work be ok?

Should be, one of my buddies just bought a new camaro in the fall and it snowed before the cover got shipped to him. So it sat all here in brutal canadian winters. Hopefully your truck was clean before it was parked though.

3) Will the callipers, disks and pads be ok?

Pads should be... might have some surface corrosion on the other stuff? but i think you'll be fine.

3) Is there anything I should do before trying to start it.

Check fluids? Not much else you can do. You'll probably need a new battery.

And the only thing i'd worry about is flat spots on the tires.

Good luck man!!!

Thanks Evanandretti,

It was absolutely pristine and spotless when it was taken, from then untill now it hasnt been any rain, just the snow, which has now almost all gone. The Temperature has been above 10c everyday now for about 3 weeks.

Hopefully its gonna be fine,

Do you think it will need new tires?

Well guys are saying that the stock tires are bad for flat spots that you usually can't get rid of. And then in the cold you'll lose tire pressure so just a possibility i guess? Maybe other guys will chime in i just pretend to know what im talking about most of the time. Mine sat in an unheated garage all winter... only difference is that it wasn't inside a snow bank. I'm sure everything will be ready to go.

Couple hundred miles apart... I hear ROAD TRIP :p

If you are there over Easter, I'm probably gonna drive down and finish off running in the motor. So looks like a road trip is on the cards. :burnout:

maybe fresh oil & filter.

a new battery is probably a good idea

ya think she or whoever might have put something in the petrol tank??? just a thought. fresh gas would not hurt either.

might want to pull the fuel pump relay & spin her over till oil pressure is there.

was she anti-freezed for your winter before she was taken???

just let her idle & get some temp in her & take her out & keep an eye & an ear open on the drive

i bet she is ok:rock::congrats::burnout:

good luck & keep us posted:rock::rock::rock:

It had only done 100 miles or so, when it was taken, all the fluids were just
changed and the coolant was good for -50C. No one has tampered with it
other than it being left outside all this time. I have just found out that it is in a compound which is part of the local council, secured and camera's so its been safe.

I hope its all good, I've got over $200,000 in it, and I don't really
wanna go much more. :argh:

I'm in Norway don't forget, I paid $120,000 for it in December 2008
with 800 miles on the clock.

$100,000 for one in Norway in great condition is pretty normal.

The rest is all the mods I have done.

How do I upload pictures, I have some fromwhen we just finished the build

I'm leaving back to the states on 16th, April. But I will be back around 19th, May for another four weeks. I'm in Stavanger often. :dontknow:I've only been to Oslo once when I was passing through to Stavanger.. :eek:Dette er et vakkert land, :)elsker jeg det her. Men :dong:det er meget dyr. :eek:Du må ha betalt en formue å ha din 10 her. Am I right?

gold frame???? that's a piss load of money. post some pics!

The taxes here on vehicles with high horsepower is crazy. The higher the horsepower, the higher the taxes. He would probably have to have paid 500k(NOK) to 1 millionNOK to have it here. I've only seen two in Stavanger. A red RC and a black QC.

SO, what if a guy shipped a truck over there. Your saying they pull in that kind of cash? Is it hard to import or something or how come they are priced so high?

Same same, I love it here, it is so beautiful, and with regards to running a 10 here
well you need $8000+ per month just in gas.

hey Mark

are you the one where your dad & you had a printin business????
