so i get home today and outfit i got mmy truck from sends me a gift cirtificate for ebay for 750 bucks ,,,i can bag a set of ss ceramic coated polished ,,for an extra 35 bucks out of pocket ,,,anyone here running gibsons ,,,and i dont want to start a header fight
 
Gibson's fit the definition of a header, but are botton line entry level.

Save up a few more bucks and get a set of Bassani's.............

I don,t care what anybody Says about Gigson shorties,
I run them (ultra Z coated)and they make power,On N/A I made abouit 35 H.P.(BOTTOM LINE)...........
 
When I bought headers for my first truck, someone offered to give me a set of gibson's off their wall for free. I think the general consensous (sp) is Bassani if going with shorties. It's what I have so they get my vote. btw....nice place you got your truck from. The dodge dealer I bought mine from just gave me attitude...a bad one.

Comparing the price of Bassani,s to Gibsons,for a stock system,I recommend Gibsons !!!:D

For $35 bucks out of your pocket,nothing wrong with that,there's bassani's on there for just over $1000.00 also,I can find vendor for you?

Hey Ironhead,the sellers name on ebay is "rsautoparts" he is selling bassani's for $1050 buy it now price.They are cheaper from the venders here,but you got the gift certificate,
 
I'm putting my Gibsons on soon. I'll let you all know what I think. I know Jack hates them, but you know what? Who cares! I like what others say about them so I'm going to use them. Noid, Annu and 1qksrt love them. Thats good enough for me. Besides I loved the price when I bought them 4 years ago. Yeah I know I'm slow to mod, but hey I only got 3000 miles on my truck. Next week I'll have a new tune also with my new SCT. I might even put on my K&N CAI. Can't wait now!
 
The gibsons are good if you want a good cheap header, the only problem with them is the primarys are soo small, they make power and look good, easy install, but ina shorty the bissanis are gonna make a bit more power because of the size of the tubes.

but if ya can gettem for free?:D

I am using the Gibsons and do not have any problems with them. Like the look and the sound difference they made in the exhaust. Had them coated to cut down on the heat. The Bassani's are bigger in diameter then the Gibsons and seem to be made a little better and should flow better. It really comes down to cost. Are you really going to gain that much more hp for $300 plus over the Gibsons? I am going to say no.
 
You want go wrong either way bo, its nickel and dimes, jsut a touch difference in the two, , congrats and good luck:rock:
 
TELL YOU WHAT GUYS, IF THE BASSAN'S MAKE A .5 SECOND DIFFERENCE IN THE 1/4 MILE TIME THAN I WILL TAKE MY GIBSONS OFF AND PUT THE BASSANI'S ON. THATS IT!!!!

They won't make if quicker by .5 sec.lol If you really want to change out your headers get some long tubes with a tri-y. They might and I say might make a difference.:dontknow:
 
:D just based on who's saying what... I'd go with the bassani's.... or save up for long tube mopar/bellanger...

obviously it depends what your endgame is...
