goin 1/8 mile bracket racing this weekend....

my 04 srt is stock with cat delete and volant cold air...what kind of time should i write on my window for dial-in?
i've only raced at the track 3 times 4 years ago with my gto so now i'm goin to run the truck.....
also any tips to run good times?....i usually launch at around 1200 on the street so i don't spin out..

Dial it in around 13.50 and keep trying. Drop your rear tires to about 22psi and try leaving about 2000 rpm. Good luck.

so i made 4 runs today 2 time trials,2 on the dial in of 9.10-

reaction .602 .669 .615 .466(red lighted it)

mph 79.93 81.67 81.23 81.52
660 9.121 9.157 9.132 9.105

if i put drag radials on and up my rpms on take off how much might my numbers drop?

I was the same in my truck. Then Santeen insisted I try to run on his drags. Went from 2 runs that were 9.1 & 9.3 into 8.7's the rest of the night and this was also in about 90* heat and about the same in humidity.

Yep, that's about what I did too. Couldn't get out of the 9.5's. RottenRonnie figured my Density Altitude at 6000 feet and was betting I lost about 100hp...it sure felt like it. But that's mostly stock with street tires, so after some of the guys chimed in, I didn't feel so bad Did have .002 reaction time though.
There's a few things you can do....check out some of the threads the guys who race a lot post, it's fun and full of info!!!!
