there seems to be allways a prob poping up on tunes

one thing , a dyno tune for your "altitude" an area is always best

coupel of ways to do this

one find a good tuner in your area that has experience with vipers

freaking chevys, ls1's , fords, yugos want do, the viper is an animal all itself,

DO NOT EXPERIMENT!

then you can also get with a tuner, rent a dyno, run the dyno, send the results to the tuner, download a tune redyno, repeat as neccessary

Now a couple guages is a must if you want to go non oem tune

one an most def a air/fuel guage, you SERIOUSLY NEED ONE OF THESE TO KEEP AN EYE ON THINGS

a fuel pressure guage, keeps an eye on your fuel metering

I dont care who ya get things from, but at the very least a good air fuel guage can tell you whether there is a prob or not,

if you are not willing to invest in one, then I suggest you dont modify, it could be costly, $250 or so invested, may save you 10k;)

is it better to monitor both banks instead of just one side????

it is better to monitor both sides, but monitoring one will at least give you a good example of what is actually going on

so if one is good. then two is great & 10 would be badass??????

Stink. What's your recommendation on a fuel pressure gauge? I was actually thinking about adding one the other day, was going to hit you up. What do you have that will match the silver bezel and face of the factory oil temp pillar gauge? I want to put it in the a-pillar. I remember when I had my mustang, i was able to tap in the shraeder valve of the fuel rail. I see we have a similar valve. Can we tap into that port?

the port is not a safe place to tap in , it is very fragile and can crack easily,
there is a adapter that goes in between the oem line and the fuel rail, then you can install a fuel pressure sensor there for an electric fuel pressure guage, the adapter is about $65 I think, usually takes me a couple days to get
I dont reccomend a manual inside the cab, anything happens and the cab fills with fuel, so an electric is what I would only do

the pilllars run around $60 now depending on the guage you want , it can vary

but you can search here on which you like , there are so dang many

I agree, I would only go electrical. How easy is the adaptor to install? Do you have a pic of the location on the fuel rail where I would be installing it. Thanks Stink.

dont have a pic, love this truck is getting one, tnviper has one

look at the drivers side of the engine, back of the fuel rail where the fuel line connects, it goes in between the fuel line and the rail

or one could go with a set of Stinker's billet fuel rails & the fittin/adapter probs would be way less

I will go ahead and put this out there for the new comers. Its been said many times Hennesy has his/its problems . I needed a dyno tune for the (HEMI) and since Hennesy is now a tuner school well i gave it a try. So i paid 225.00 TO FIND OUT THEY COULDN'T TUNE IT AND THAT EVERY THING THAT HAS BEEN POSTED PREVIOUSLY MUST BE TRUE . Remember this is the same outfit that's selling the 50k upgrades for the late model Hemis now. Cant tune my N/A motor how the hell are they tuning their F/I CARS OR THE V10s:dontknow:

Just trying to tell you where not to go.
