well, this may be my families last chance @ a nice vacation because of the job market, we've decided on Maui, Hawaii (thanks for your advice patrick)...... the next question is, which resort/hotel in the 3-5 star range??? there are ~200 of them to choose from, anyone have a favorite & why please ?

thanks in advance.

DO A TIME SHARE THINGY!

I STAYED AT A MARIOT RESORT, NICEST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN.

HAVE FUN FOR FREE FOR A WEEK SET IN ON A 15 SALES PITCH, DECLINE AND YOUR DONE!

WE DID THAT IN OUAHO AND MAUI ONE WEEK EACH!

Rent a Bike at the top of the volcano and coast down, It's a blast. try to stay in lahina area, pretty cool use to be a Bar there called Moose Mguilacuddy's.:)

i stayed at the Maui - Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa in 2007 with my family and girlfriend. it was the best hotel there and if you walk down the beach to whalers village you'll see that the hotels dont match up to the hyatt although only complaint i had was the beach at the hyatt wasn't that big.

The Marriott in Kaanapali lahaina is absolutely amazing! I was there in April for my honeymoon.

First time I saw this thread...... Hyatt and Marriot are awesome properties, both on Kaanapali Beach. The Westin is nice also. I personally hate timeshares though....but thats just me.

Mooses is still around.....my band played hundreds of gigs there over the years in the 90's.

Maui Kaanapali Hyatt has no timeshare on property. They were planning on building an additional tower for timeshare but when the economy took a dump they put it all on hold. The timeshare industry has taken a big hit.
