It is metal for sure.....I'll check Friday to see if a mag-nutt sticks to it. It's not made of carbon fiber, billett, plastic, snake skin nor melted chump change. It feels somewhat thick yet won't add much weight to the truck.

Do the Cal-Tracs require you to grind down the leaf springs? They do when you install them on Lightnings.

Grind? No, remove the snubber spring, swap out spring pack centering bolt, remove front spring eye bushing, replace with solid style and bolt on the rest of the Caltrac assembly, It should take bout an hour or so.
