I just found out that a friend of mine got some excellent news today.

He is actually the Mayor of our town, and yes, he still associates with me LOL.

He was diagnosed a while back with stage 4 cancer, which usually means terminal. Well, he went to the doctor this morning and was given the news that he is completely in remission, with no signs of cancer remaining.

Of course, he will never be totally out of the woods, but this news was amazing. This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time. I have known this man ever since I moved out here, and he has always been a great friend, even if I am a bit different than he is.

So yes, sometimes even in our darkest moments some light shines through. Never give up.
