just find those pics on my puter. Good old days. Was in '80 to '85 when i drove rallys in Belgium with a BMW 2002.
Drove that car usually around 20 among a 100 competitors.
Finally had to quit because tooo expensive.... and my wife.. and the kids...

Great ! had them also but the rally car was with "factory" engine with 2 dubbel Weber carb's. In the beginning we had problems with to high compression as later revealed that the pistons where'nt suited for the special head...Once that corrected the car drove about 40 rallys without any problems ! O yeah, we broke once the rotor on top in the distributor and once the headers broke. Ofcourse i always served it very well as every week check brakes, bearings etc... as a result i lost a back wheel been forgotten the split pen trough the nut ... That wheel passed me and was rolling a 100 m before us ...
