So the '09 with the 6 speed is coming out in July? Hmmm. Do you have to pay over msrp?
Awesome dude............wish I had a bigger garage......no way you could park that in the driveway.

A six speed Hemi Challenger just sounds sweet enough to give me a cavity. But I think I'll wait until a few of them are out for a while before hopping in one. The 300C SRT will do fine for now.:dontknow:

They are making the srt-8 in both auto and 6 speed for 09. The six will be a very limited edition of about 500 or so. The rt & srt will have a manual option in 09. It is the standard 6.1 srt engine.

you must know somebody better than i do. my guy supposedly has the first flat black race challenger coming. congrats on the manual tranny. that ought to be a blast.

They haven't announced the drag car yet. They are not making a racing version yet. Also flat black will not be a factory code.
The 6.4 probably won't come. Remember they only make 35k a year of these things. Supposedly an issue with the auto tranny and this car with the 6.4 from what I have heard.

We still need to know, are you paying MSRP? Over? I refuse to even consider one until prices are at or below MSRP. No need to remind our friends who bought the early 04s.... The money loss, in my mind, is not worth having it a few months to a year before everyone else.
Nice one on waiting for the 09 though. I agree, it has to have a manual. The 09 also gets a better gear setup. I do not recall the exact gearing, but the 08s are getting something like a 307?? Where the 09s are somewhere near 392 I think.

I would say for the srt because of the cost (42k with most options) you are not going to see these things below msrp. They only slotted 5k a year for srt packages. I am paying msrp because I have a great dealer in ohio I deal with. I think most dealers are 1k-5k over for 08's and from what i have heard 500-100 for 09's.
Remember if something is only worth what someone will pay for it. Wait till the convertible hits in 10.

the dodge dealer where i put my name on the list called me monday and said they had one for me coming in soon, i was number 4 and the first 3 are sold.
12k over sticker he said!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i said go to number 5 and call me when they are at or below sticker. he said that would be awhile.
there is always carmax for when people realize they bought the wrong ride.
shouldnt they at the least bump the srt hemi horsepower up?
the 5.7 is now going to be 370. 8k for 50 more horsepower:dontknow:

The dealer in my area wants 20k over.
the deals are out there, my dealer sold 3 including mine for msrp, Eddie and his father also got one each for msrp, but I'm sure we will sell all 3 for over msrp

What's with the fake hood scoops? How Mustangish of them. Considering Dodge knows how to make functional scoops, this seems just plain stupid! So the 6.4 will not be available because it does not mate well with the automatic but the 6.1 will be available with a manual trans.......... duh? 6.4 manual??? I always find it frustrating that employee discount is never available on the SRTs. Maybe a 370 h.p. 6 speed at a discount will make some sense a year from now. Thnx for all the updates!
