Making 5K SRTs a year will not keep it at MSRP. They make about 2500 Vipers a year and they do not get MSRP for those, well until the new one came out in 08.

I also concur, the 6.1 Hemi needs a HP boost ASAP. There will be many who say why get the SRT package when I have have the 380HP 5.7 for less, with better MPGs and be at 425HP with a couple mods and probably sound better doing it.

have you seen the 5.7 chargers. they look cheap and slow. dont look anything near as good as the srt8 charger.

The is a big difference between a 5.7 Hemi Charger and a 5.7 RT Charger.

Challenger will only be offered in RT trim with the 5.7.

What's with the fake hood scoops? How Mustangish of them. Considering Dodge knows how to make functional scoops, this seems just plain stupid! So the 6.4 will not be available because it does not mate well with the automatic but the 6.1 will be available with a manual trans.......... duh? 6.4 manual??? I always find it frustrating that employee discount is never available on the SRTs. Maybe a 370 h.p. 6 speed at a discount will make some sense a year from now. Thnx for all the updates!

the hood scoops are fully functional...... see stinker's link above..... i also saw one of these up close @ the LVMS in march, it was listed on the build sheet as "functional".......

Thnx! Good to know they are functional. So they open and close like Chev. "Cowl Induction" or what? Is there rubber hoses connected to them underhood to ram the air? I just looked at that link again and found nothing about scoops. I am asking about the hoses/ram air thinking maybe a hood was open at an auto show and someone saw what was under the scoops/openings. thnx again!

didn't see under the hood, but the build sheet says functional...... if you click on "close-ups" (skip intro) & choose the 4th choice over, it shows & says functional (but no view under the hood)........
