I was getting onto the highway when I saw a Lightning behind me also on the entrance ramp. I was just tooling along when we both got onto the highway and he pulled up next to me as I was lightly accelerating in third gear. The passenger gestured for me to get on it as the driver of the Lightning accelerated. Not wanting to disappoint and without hesitating I hit 2nd and got on it. I immediately began to pull ahead of the Lightning when I hit the rev limiter in 2nd!! I was like, mother f*cker, but was still a nose ahead of the Lightning as I hit third (that’s right, she went right in!!!) and was able to pull even farther ahead. We went for about half a mile or so as I was well into 4th and over 100!! I was pleasantly surprised to find I was maybe 1 ½ - 2 truck lengths ahead of him when it seemed like he let off. I went for a few more seconds to be sure he got the point!! I’ve heard all these stories of the Lighning guys killing SRT’s but know I know first hand that’s a bunch of BS. I’m not sure of his mods but my sig outlines mine. As a matter of fact, I just took off my B & G PCM yesterday to get the 91 octane tune programed in. I was getting some detonation with the 93 and didn’t want to always run Octane boost or 100 Octane fuel. The Octane boost makes my exhaust smell horrible (no cats) and the 100 Octane shit is damn expensive!! Having the stock PCM back on is partially responsible for me bouncing off the rev limiter. I got used to higher adjusted limiter!!
