Well, It's finally Driveable! The Bumpsteer was the biggest problem with the drop that I'm running. The rear worked out fine after tuning the rear shocks. The front shocks have really helped get the front end to work. I still need to grind away part of the upper fender mounts cleared from rubbing the rubber in turns, but overall the truck is working out great!! Speed runs next.

Nana, should be able to help ya out a bit I hope, the front looks great:rock:

working on a nice 4 link air ride for the rear, and a air deal for the front, but also gonna hopefully be getting in some HD sway bars also bro, this may help on ya runs:D

stinker, let me know about the 4 link, the airride set-up was going to require to much fab work for my budget as of right now. I'm also looking for a video setup to use in test runs as well as for the actual runs, been watching ebay, hope to find something very soon. I will be doing alot of video on my runs.

hey man not sure what your doing about the rear but i'm sure these guys can help you out or get you the air system you need www.suicidedoors.com...also i'm kinda intrested in knowing what air system you are running like what size air tank ,valves, and air line.....also one thing to think about is a water trap don't want your valves get rusted out...had that happen before and its not fun lol........looks killer i'll be going with a 4 link in the rear and about a 4 inch C notch when i go with bags

Had to cancel the wind tunnel till Feb. of '08, after the nascar guys get through. The Orange clamp is a universal leaf spring clamp, got it a my local NAPA, about a 1.50 each if my memory serves me right, yes it works quite well on the street and yes, I will be going to the wind tunnel, but the Dyno runs are next because of Silver and his damn speed in gears chart is making me re-evaulate my figures for top end speed, Damn you Monkey! But you gotta love the Monkey!! Thanks for all the support and info. I'm taking it out on Wednesday for a all day drive in the real world and see if it still kinda passes for street legal.

Hey Mark'
Saw your truck at Ronnie Robinson. Richard gave me the tour. Looks great.
I'll call ya soon, my truck is having "issues". Starting to act like a wife...keeps blowing fuses. John

What would a leaf spring clamp do for performance and/or looks?

I see you took out the slapper leaf for the Cal Tracs - Did you also take out another spring?

If so why?

Peformance / looks / what about payload hauling weights? I tend to put a sport bike in every now and then.

Thanks Kevin

PS-looks good.

Once I removed the slapper bar and the extra leaf, I had to have a way to put the new leaf pack back together. It does soften the ride and it does cut back on the towing hauling capacity, so if you plan on doing actual truck stuff with your truck, better leave the leaf there.
