It's 3:35 in the morning. I've got 2 essays I have to finish before class at 8 a.m., and I've got 2 more in-class essay exams tomorrow after that. So that I can then come home to "unwind", keep my pets alive, spend some time with my girlfriend, try to get a little sleep, and then get right up again before it's even dark yet to spend a good 12 hrs. straight going nuts in the emergency room.

HOOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!! Had to vent for a second...

Thank God I love what I'm studying...or else I'd have an aneurysm.
Plus, who's gonna help you guys out when you need some heart surgery?? Just fly down here and I'll hook you up. I'll just overcharge everyone else We'll have a test and tune at the track and then a test and tune at my future office LOL

It's a good thing you love what yer studying or you couldn't even spell aneurysm.............

My suggestion is that you become a cosmetic surgeon. Lots of cash business, so far fewer billling issues. Most business is high ticket surgery. Yer hours are your own.....

Retire early.... buy plenty of land and vintage Ferraris.

Can't lose............. Just get plenty of malpractice insurance.

Today was the last day of the split-semester...until Monday! I get a whole weekend Thanks everyone for the replies..I was honestly expecting the thread to go un-noticed. As much as I know it's a rewarding career and I am very strong mentally, it helps a lot to hear words of encouragement from you guys. Especially when i felt like I was gonna crack there for a moment. maui - LOL I stole her when I was in high school and just haven't let her out of the house since then..only for a VTCOA meet I actually didn't know how much heart surgeons made until I had already made my choice. But shit.. 600K a year sounds damn good to me!!!!

I chose heart surgery because of the dramatic effect I can have helping someone's life. To keep just ONE person's heart ticking would be enough to cherish for a lifetime in my eyes.
