IN ORLANDO LAST WEEK, AT A CITGO STATION REGULAR WAS PRICED AT $ 3.59 PER GALLON, NO CUSTOMERS, HOWEVER ACROSS THE STREET FUEL WAS SELLING FOR $ 3.66 PER GALLON AND ALL PUMPS THERE HAD CARS WAITING TO FUEL.

Have you noticed how the CITGO signs have disappeared in the past 7-8 months? Very clever move by Chavez. But guess what CITGO IS CHANGING ITS NAME TO...this is serious Americans...make sure you read

NEWS FLASH:

Chavez
i s NOW getting a Russian Weapons Factory built by Putin. The RUSSIANS are building an AK-47 Kalashnikov Assault Rifle factory in Venezuela , to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the Americas ..

Chavez
NOW has IRANIANS operating his oil refineries in Venezuela for him. It is likely only a matter of time, if not already, before Chavez has Iranian built LONG RANGE missiles, with a variety of warhea d types aimed at: Guess Every dollar you spend with CITGO or PETRO EXPRESS gasoline will be used against you, your basic human rights, and your freedoms. He will start wars here in the Americas that will probably be the death of millions.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT because Chavez is starting to feel the loss of revenue from his holdings. HE OWNS CITGO. This is a very important move that everyone should be aware of.

ANNOUNCED JUST RECENTLY,CITGO, BEING AWARE THAT SALES ARE DOWN DUE TO U.S. CUSTOMERS NOT WANTING TO BUY FROM 'CITGO-CHAVEZ ', HAVE STARTED TO CHANGE THE NAME OF SOME OF THEIR STORES TO: 'PETRO EXPRESS'

DO NOT BUY FROM 'PETRO EXPRESS' EITHER!!! 'PETRO EXPRESS' IS ALSO 100% OWNED BY 'CHAVEZ. '

KEEP THIS MEMO GOING SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING. BOYCOTT 'CITGO' AND 'PETRO EXPRESS'

MAKE SURE THIS IS PASSED ON TO EVERYONE IN YOUR E-MAIL LIST IN THE UNITED STATES AND OUTSIDE OF AMERICA

Whenever I pass a Citgo, I take notice if it has any customers. Many times, all pumps are empty. Looks like the word is getting out. Some other stations are said to sell fuel from Venezuela. The trick is to find out which ones and not use them either. Here's what Snopes has to say about it:

That's kinda hard to believe. To be honest, I would say that 90% of American citizens would buy gas from "Osama Bin-Laden Gas & Save" if the price was a few cents less. Sad but true!

I buy Sunoco almost exclusively because they buy American oil....and I save money too..local station sells prem for mid grade price every Friday...paid $3.96 a gal this past Friday for 93 octane..

Me too!

I just received my new Sunoco Mastercard Friday. It gives me 4% off all Sunoco products, which equates to about ~.17 cents a gallon off 93 Octane. (Super is around $4.25/gallon) The discount is automatically applied to my statement each month. (which I pay off each month. I never pay interest on a credit card.)

It's not much, but I'm lucky in the fact that the local Sunoco always seems to have the best prices on gas as well, so with or without the credit card, I'd still be buying my gas there. The card is just a little extra.

FWIW, Citgo changed its name to Valero around here.

I've seen a similar e-mail to this before.

I haven't purchased any gas from either of them in a couple years now.

Thanks for the tip... I just signed up for a Sunoco card online. Should be here in two weeks. Sunoco 94 Octane is all I use in my truck so I might as well take advantage of the 4% off.

So that's who owns the Valero stations here in AZ. I never buy from there and now I will be sure not to.

Never heard this before... :dontknow: ...I think my head's been under a rock or up a...

Thanks for the 411! :top:

I looked up Valero too, thinking that Citco had changed it's name to Valero.

I found that Valero is owned by British Petroleum..... If this is incorrect, someone tell me...

No way I'm readin all that! I'll take yer word for it.(Still only buying Sunoco though.;) )

My head hurts... :argh:

there is a VALERO refinery in corpus christi, TX...so i don't think CHAVEZ is involved.

:dontknow: I don't know what to believe. If I'm filling the escape up, I do it on post. I would hope that AAFES isn't getting their gas from the wrong people. I'll have to check on that. If I'm in the truck, I usually go with Chevron. Looks like I might have to switch to Sunoco

You are correct. And heres a tidbit of information I know about Valero. Valero refinery in Corpus refines raw fuel, all grades and diesel. 90% of the fuel along the gulf coast, southern states all the way to florida is from Valero. Shell, Exxon, Chevron AND Citgo buy fuel from them. They buy the fuel, and additives such as Raffinate(sp??), MTBE (which is the additive to give gasoline the octane) and reformate which are all gasoline additives. Now once these companies buy the fuel from Valero they add their own detergents and what not to make it "theirs". So basically MOST of the fuel sold in the southern states comes from Valero refining company.

I alway thought it was a British company that owned Valero but I don't know for fact.
