Just thought I would share this link to a guy selling an SRT 10 in lake lanier georgia. Granted it has low miles and is in great shape, the guy is trying to get someone to pay his yearly salary with the price he is asking for his truck. I have tried to talk sense into him and if anyone else wants to try then feel free seeing how his number is on his post but its just rediculous and the guy is really an ass about someone telling him his truck isnt worth anything close to what hes asking and not even realizing it didnt sell for his price 10 years ago when it was brand new off of the showroom floor. Guys like this are just very irritating to try to talk to.

The only thing I could figure is in 04 they only made 54 RC cab trucks in that color. Either way, the guy is an idiot and I really hope all yall other SRT enthusiasts that actually know these trucks hit the guy up and tell him that.

Haha very true. I dont know what this guys deal is but he is a real prick to talk to for sure cause he refuses to be wrong.
 
Without running a query, it is possible he has 1 of 54 built in Nov of 2003....


For the mileage, 60k is a good price. Those that raise their eyebrows need to consider the difference between having to sell and putting something out there that is meant for someone that will continue the care of the Viper Truck as a rare item in history and not a 17k beater
 
Maybe to him his 10 is worth $60,000. Maybe he doesn't really want to sale it. No one likes to be told that their wife is ugly & no one likes to be told their 10 is not worth what they think it is. Maybe you leave him alone & go buy another 10. Just a thought.
 
Well if yall want to buy one for 60,000 then there is the post. 06srt10, it wasnt the fact that I was sitting there dogging him but when I try to ask about his truck and he gives me an attitude and tell me that because its got 1600 miles and leather seats (yes he did point out that it had leather seats), that its worth 60 when he bought it new at 45K then it is what it is. If he doesn't want to sell it then take the post down. If his wife is ugly then his mistake and if he thinks its worth 60K then there is no hope for him. Im not trying to start an argument at all but I was honesty enquiring about the truck and the guy wanted to be a dick. Im no kid trying to start some drama. Viperjeff, I understand your point and yes these are really rare trucks but push come to shove, there is no stock 10 out there thats bone stock thats worth 13000 more than what it was bought new 10 years ago. I think the trucks need to stay with guys that are gonna cherish them for what they are but that price is outrageous.
 
Selling and buying comes down to two simple facts, what the seller is willing to sell it at and what the buyer is will to shell out for it.


I would be annoyed with you too if your buying numbers was at 20-22k. I wouldn't answer your emails or take your calls, you would be a waste of time. The same should be true of you, if 60k is out of your ball park, you shouldn't even be in the game.


We all know the market and what it supports.....


Sellers like this don't give a shit about the market, you want the ride, step up and have cash in your hand.


I learned a long time ago not to mix facts with personal belief.... facts don't stand a chance. Good luck to #17 in finding a new home

What does a 1.6k mile truck (not his) go for anyway ?? :dontknow:
 
It's hard to say, you see them listed from time to time, but it's really hard to know what the final sales price was. I've seen VCA's go for mid 30's and I saw a 05 QC with less than 1000 miles on the clock last listed at 25k. I've also seen some pretty stupid (as in bad and ugly) list for 90k, saw it for sale for almost 3 years, no idea what happened to it. I've seen a lot over the years....


My bet is if you took an 04 listed at 17k, took it to a body shop and had it restored to original, it would probably cost you another 30-35k in parts, labor and paint... so who knows....

I honestly contacted the guy in the thought that he mistyped the price. Maybe yall dont get the fact that he started acting an ass before I really got to say anything to him. Either way, I understand your point but when someone shells out anything close to 60K for a bone stock 10 then please someone let me know because it would be a first for me. We didnt even get to talk numbers at all. #17 won't be finding a new home anytime soon at that price and thats a fact. My rant is done though as I dont want any problems on the forums with anybody. I just thought it was rediculous and thats IMO.

At 1633 in say 11yrs, I would be afraid to drive it more than 25 miles at a time. Many, many potential problems arising from non-use to being actually driven now. Of course I realize somebody buying a vehicle like this is not going to actually use it, just going to keep it the garage queen it has been. Would prolly do same if capable of that...lol
 
You are absolutely right about that BIGINJUN. Could be some bad problems but I agree that it would be really nice to have the money just to buy one to be some eye candy in the garage that was never driven and then in 30 years run it through Barret Jackson.
 
if that's what hes asking then so be it. Its his truck not yours, if it gets that money.......hey its good for us all. I know you putting a rear chrome bumper on yours makes the value of mine go up :D
