I been thinking of getting one installed in my 05 to help shifting does anyone know where to get it from and where to take it to get put on what else should I do to the truck .

any dealer usually has them , but a shift kit is allways good for longevity, tighten the bands most definitly , and some actually install a larger pan for increased capacity in fluid to help it run cooler
but we usually stock most of the above.

yea do it buddy....i have the new solenoid and a shift kit...just waiting to get the time to install!

I installed the solenoid and shift kit already... It was really a breeze to do, I ended up bending my valve position lever (aka rooster comb) to adjust realized i didnt need to and when i bent it back i snapped the little arm. But I wouldnt install the green spring if i were you!

Pete after class I have to change oil in the oil ladys XB then ill be over there! I'm hoping ur part comes in earlly! I'm going to stop by dodge to pick up my solenoid...should have come in by now! Yo do I have enough tranny fluid there to do my shift kit?

Yea you do I bought two 6qt cases... We should only need one for the both of us since we didnt get the deeper pans buddy... Oh and guys just to clarify. The Solenoid conversion can be picked up from PATC. The shift kit from JTSVP... and while doing this it is HIGHLY recommended that you go ahead and change out the Govenor Pressure Sensor TRANSDUCER, which Stink should be able to get for yall at a good price but for an a$$ raping can also be purchased from the dealer, this is the part Troy mentioned. So to break it all down... and have your Tranny running amazing...

1. Torque Converter - JTSVP
2. Shift Kit - JTSVP
3. GM Solenoid conversion - PATC
4. Gov. Pre. Sen. Tranducer - JTSVP or Dealer
5. Tap an oil drain plug or Upgraded pan - JTSVP
