Which is best Collector insurance for our trucks. I have had my truck for 3 years now, and the past 2 years have only put 2000-3000 miles on it per year. Paying full coverage with gieco is costing me 1000 a year for the truck, and its hardly used. I want to know if any of you guys have collector insurance on your trucks, and thoughts on which company to go with. Thanks a bunch.

i have hagerty

692.00 premium- no deductable and agreed value is 30,000.00
24.00- for the hagerty plus membership 10 mile plan which covers the first 10 miles of a tow or up to 50.00 for non-tow events, such as battery jumps, fuel delivery or lock out service

the only thing i don't like about this policy is it doesn't cover racing ( like at a sanctioned track) maybe grundy does? better read the fine print!

I have Grundys on my SRT and 2 Lightning's. It runs me about 572 a year for all 3 trucks.

Grundy here - 850 per year - agreed value 55k

mine doesn't
i guess this is the norm...another reason you won't see me at a track (other than there is no track around anywhere near me):D its a shame really....doesn't this policy just promote/enforce street racing?:dontknow:

I have Grundy, doesn't cover racing as it is a collector policy and most collectibles aren't abused.
I have unlimited mileage and can drive anytime as long as it is for fun and not errands or transportation.

Looks like I am going with Grundy, sent in for quote, and its a big savings, only thing i dont like is no racing, even at the track.

I am on my second year with Grundy and no pay increases.

How do i find the agreed value. Nada doesnt recognize Night Runners so I dont know the real value. Someone on here had an agreed value of like 55k???

grundy denied me for two reasons, driving record and daily driver year.
i got:
speed,
2 seat belt tickets
one failure to obey

and my car is a 99 and the truck is an 04. they want the DD to be newer then the collector? odd.

you set it.....i chose 30k because thats what i feel i would need to replace it in the event its totaled.

keep in mind they are going to pay what ever is less, stated value or the actual cash value. so if you say its worth 50 million and they find it to be worth two bucks your getting two bucks.
