Hot off the presses....location was decided last night by a few members that made the dinner on the Northside.

Member number 129 will be in Baytown getting visual mods done to his Jeep and a few of us decided it would be a fine location for a GTG.

Beautiful weather......Anthony's brisket.....what a way to spend a weekend driving and enjoying our rides...and some good eats. ....especially with fuel being $1.60 /gal.:marchmellow:

Okay... I apologize for being away from the forum for so long... Here's the scoop to clear up the confusion... Independent from the January 8th GTG arranged for Axxel's presence here there is a GTG happening this weekend. The one planned for this weekend was originally for Eddie being here. Since he was able to acquire his truck without coming to Houston we decided to do a GTG anyway for the locals.

I will be providing the eats ahead of time so I wouldn't have to be grilling while everyone's together. The last GTG we had was in Bear Creek. Some members couldn't make it because it was on the far southwest side of town. Roseland Park is somewhere we never been to and would be nice to include everyone in on this. Some of the members have already provided some funds for the event to cover all costs (food, beverages, snacks, utensils, etc.). I don't know how many are going to show but so far $20.00 a head seems like the agreed amount. With that all everyone would have to do is show up. I'll take care of the rest. If there are any special requests for drinks, food, chips, whatever just let me know and it'll be done.

I am going to play it safe and prepare 2 briskets, potato salad, BBQ beans and such so that every attendee will leave stuffed. OR I could do one brisket and other stuff like burgers, brats, chicken, etc. Afterwards if everyone or some would like to go for some margaritas that would be fine too. I wouldn't mind putting down a few. The weather should be nice and warm that day so clean vehicles should be possible. I'll try calling everyone I have numbers for. If you have friends or family you'd like to bring along, then by all means, please do... It's a park so why not? I know my daughter will be there. Just let me know how many friends or loved ones you want to bring so I know how much food and supplies to have available. Of course you all have my number 832-217-0562. Give me a shout if you have any questions. I hope we can all have some good times that day as it also serves as my farewell GTG before leaving to Africa for God knows how long.:dontknow: I'll start another thread with all of this info so there will be no confusion and we won't take away from the focus of what this thread was intended.
