I am good to 600 miles, that is a one day drive.
Im about the same... Anything more than that and I may as well fly...

Stinker, I voted for the 600 mile limit but I consider that from your area not Virginia. So bottom line is where ever, when ever, count me in.... :)

the mopar nats is 722 miles from here. we did that and the drive wasnt bad. you can do it in a day but you have to stay with it. leave early and run till about 9pm.

so he can look at alisha while i go wring out the truck;)
No brother. I'll keep Alisha and Joy with me. I got plans.:D :D

Attending with the truck or another vehicle I'll limit to 400 miles, mainly because I'd be towing.

Beyond that I'd prob fly. I'm more likely to attend one that I didn't have to fly to, but once every other year or so I'd be willing to fly to one.

So far looking like a regional deal is what most would want to do?

any more suggestions?:)

Something closer to MA..... I went to one GTG in CT. that was the closest I could find and there were 5 trucks...... I want to roll deep with a $hit ton! and keep as many miles off my truck as possible:D

i voted at 600 miles...

but if the timing is right, and the gtg is a tad farther...i'd still go...i don't care about the mileage...

although, i will say, it's a lot easier to drive long distances with other drivers than alone...;)

I haven't tried to drive the QC on a trip, but it's getting about 15.5 at 60 miles an hour. So, it's no worse than my 97 Ford which I've driven around the world. I'm not too keen on putting tons of miles on it, but they are going to accumulate anyway, eventually. Nothing lasts and nothing stays new forever.

I guess I said that to say this, a 600 mile trip is nothing....a day's drive in MT but I guess if your runnin' big mods, low gears, full race, etc. it would be silly to try and drive it anywhere. But, I thought that one big part of a GTG was to GTG and look at all the Vipers everyone has worked so hard on. So many are talking about cruises and shit and I guess I don't see the point of having a truck club and not driving your truck, except as above.

So, wherever it is, I'll be there if I can be there and it will be a priority for me. If it's across the continent, probably won't make it.

So, I voted 600miles. Like I said in my earlier post, I'm sure no one gives a rats ass if I'm there or not. But I would love to meet as many as I can. :)

Hell yeah Cruster, it is all about meeting new members and old friends. We always try to bring our trucks if at all possible.

Well buddy Cruster, we are gonna have to get someone west of the missisisppi to help you guys out a bit, i jsut cant make the long trip,

but, I can say one thing friend, we southern folks have a GTG in panama city florida at least once a year.

now this is a 4-5 day deal, very cheap to stay, and its sorta a getaway weekend, trucks really arent that important there;)
we do talk trucks and such, and may go to a track, but thats not why we go there at all.

just do a search on panama GTG and see what things comes up:p

it is so much of a big deal for some, so far almost every year we have guys drive in from texas, lower florida, coupel of guys drive down from virginia, pennsylvania, jsut all over buddy, so in some instances, its not all about the trucks, but more about meeting and gaining new freinds, heck Jack has flown twice from california to be there

it looks like a 4-600 mile deal is what is most popular, so I will try to come up with something that most can attend.

there will be at least one panama city GTG, jsut not sure when,

now the other suggestions such as road courses, cruises, fishing trips will have to be off the schedule, as will some smaller GTGr's

but I will try my best to come up with something that folks can come to and enjoy :)

Well....... I voted 600miles. I figure I don't even have 10k on my truck yet so even on a nice road trip I still will have low enough miles on it.... if we keep it close to the east coast.... Oh just one thing though..... I am not aloud to drive in the state of Virginia.... Had a bit of a hang up with the law the last time I drove to FL in my Dakota R/T:eek:

Might be worth considering two dates/locations, one each closer to each coast, thereby cutting down travel for potential attendees.

Lots of interested people will have a tough time with much more than a day's drive. Personally, I'd be willing to go as far as central Cal, or Vegas.
