Guiness Record RC airplane!

That is cool..I saw another video of that plane several months ago....but I cant believe they would start it using bare hands..:dontknow: ..kind of like starting a small lawn mower with the blades..:hmmmm2:

That's COOL!!!!

I wonder if it would take off a treadmill spinning the opposite direction of the wheels . . ? ;)

I wonder what it is made of?

And if you notice, he really starts them backwards. It would have been safer to start with the engines on the other side.

Belgians! Too many waffles I guess!:dontknow:
:D:D

I was in Laguna Beach over the summer...up at some park near the local high school on top of a mountain (just drove off into BFE) - there was a guy up there with two of those type of planes...massive remote control planes. One was a single prop plane that was amazing - he could fly it completely vertical without stalling, upside-down, etc. His other plane (the one I want), was a harrier like plane. He could hover it, and the thing was fast as hell. He said he has about a mile or so range with the RC planes that he built. He said that he did it relatively inexpensive, and the only thing he really bought were the remotes and the motor. Ever other part was hand built.

We used to fly RC planes as a hobby. Nothing of that caliber though.

My first and favorite was custom built and covered for me by Jerry. It was an Eagle trainer (high wing) covered with white monokote with hot pink trim :D :D :D Oh not to mention the 36" floats for that extra fun float flying ....

I eventually advanced to a mid wing, it was a really nice one called a Nuttin Special. However, I was stubborn one day and had to learn the meaning of "stall" the hard way.:dontknow: It went dead stick and I could not understand why he kept telling me to get the nose down - I mean WTF is that all about, isn't that gonna put it in the ground??? Well, it ended up looking like a box of toothpicks when I was done trying to float it in for a landing.  Here I always thought stall meant your engine quit :D :D :p :p

Needless to say yettie got a little uptight with me for not turning over the radio - but what the hell, live and learn. :dontknow: :D

I'm working on a RC powerboat with 3cc methanol engine.
Haven't finished it yet since I got the truck :(
It's all about priorities I guess :D
