I have stayed in Cali twice : once in LA and once at Fort Irwin for training.
Beautiful place,
but some of the people
and the ridiculous laws

I will VISIT again,but would NEVER live there

Lets hear from those living and loving in California...how has it gotten to this?

Well I know the cops here have no tolerance for street racing period anymore. If the CHP sees cars lined up on the freeway(as is to race from a roll) he will light up and get on both the cars asses before you know it.

With the L.A. Harbor being the gateway to Japan and all their products (engines, half cars, etc) even a highschool kid can finance a easy 200-300 hp powerplant in their honda or nissan. As for domestics, mustangs are a dime a dozen and we all know they can made in fast monsters as well.(as an lt1 camaro) There are so many performance shops here you dont have to go very far to get a fast car. Thats why SoCal (L.A., Orange county, Inland Empire, and esp San Diego) have a huge street racing promblem with people not just kids that cant seem to understand the promblem and danger in street racing and closing down tracks. Mustangs are just as "burnt" as any honda down here and either of the 2 is almost guarante pull me over ride.

So now heres the scenario for L.A.

We have 3 tracks (not counting the 2 1/8th miles in SD)

An 1/8th open every thurs
a !1/4 in fontana and well pomona is a 1/4 but the awesome community of la verne decided it was to loud for their taste and is now only open for like winternationals. Its no wonder why people street race out here.
