Hartford, Connecticut or SE New York Area Members, Need Help!!

To any member in the Hartford ,Ct area or the south east New York crowd...i need your help badly!!! i recently bought a truck in CT (im in Houston, TX) and thought i was gonna have the time to fly to that area and inspect the truck and in turn fly back and have the truck shipped back to me. well, work related items have came up and am not able to fly up there and do it myself...already put a deposit of $500 on this truck through paypal (bought it on ebay). if someone is close to that area and wants to make some extra cash im willing to pay $1 per mile round trip and a $100 expenses to go and inspect to truck...(makes sure it runs...drives well...etc..etc) its in Thomaston, CT.

Its a 95' chevy s10 RC...383 stroker...afr heads...carbed...t56...fully built machine! i dont want to buy it sight unseen so i thought id see if anyone is in that area or close to at least.. i need this done in the next couple days so please respond quickly if you interested..honelstly i really didnt know what i was gonna do until i got on the site earlier and thought of you guys...havent ever asked for anything like this before and was really hoping someone could help me out!!! you can call me anytime...even 3am if your interested...thanks again guys... 713-870-0253

You should PM Derek Poundstone. He's in CT.
If anyone lies to him, they're the biggest dumbass on the planet. :D

I think CTSRT is also in the area.
 
There are a bunch of guys in CT bro... Paul is there as well as Derek. Also Jeff Kehoe. You should be able to snag one of them. Derek is a good choice because he would tear the arms off anyone that lied to him.

Hey Josh, just got your message today, I wrote you back before I saw the thread. If Paul needs a place to put the truck on a lift, let me know. Thomaston in the next town north of Waterbury and my buddy has a shop here in town where I do all the work on my 10. He'll probably throw the truck on the lift (even though its a chevy) and give it a good looking through. He wouldn't want to charge you but I always throw him a few bucks. He's a good friend of mine that details my truck and maintains my mothers Range Rover. If you know Range Rovers, you know its there often and he never wants to charge my mom. I have to threaten to kick his ass to get him to take money!

i bet you dont have to threaten that much!!....just a noticable RAISE OF THE VOICE Gets it done most of the time i bet...anyway...i appreciate it Derek...It think paul is going around 6-630 ..so may be a bit late to take the truck for a better inspection. i think a good onsite inspection will do me fine...i appreciate the offer though..would be kinda cool if you tagged along just to see what the guy reaction would be! anyways. i lost my phone that i posted earlier so if your thinking about going Derek...gimme a ring....8133004997..thanks again

Glad you guys got it figured out. I cant tag along though, I'm attending a promotion ceremony at work at 6:30. Let us know what the outcome is.

i dont think he gonna fit in the mini cooper he has a hard time fitting in a crown vic with a cage so i hate to see what this would do
 
paul just called me and everything looks great...he'll be posting pics in a bit guys....
