If you have removed your caltracs, what did you do about the the aluminum bushings? Did you replace them or did you just leave the aluminum bushings in them. From my understanding the aluminum bushings are a little thinner than the factory bushings to compensate for the caltrac triangles to fit. Does this sound right?

Borrowing a picture from one of Eddies thread this is what I am talking about. The Caltracs actually are on the inside touching the leaf springs. I don't know if it would be to loose to just remove the Caltrac triangles.

just a question but why would you want to remove caltraks

Looonnnggg story which is one of the reasons that I was late for the PCB GTG. Short part of the story is this set is for a RC

press them in. press them out.

i have seen urathane bushing for sale on ebay ,,,you could replace them

Caltracs off - off - off :p <-- Learned my lesson

Triangles are still on. When I pull the triangles will I be able to tighten everything down without them there or will I have to replace the bushings or add washers?

just a thought but you could buy a set for a qc install every thing but bushings then sell the rc setup with bushing from new set ,,im sure they would be the same,,that way you would not have to pull leaf springs out

either a washer spacer set up, or remove them and put back original bushings, not sure if energy suspension makes any or not,

energy says they are workin on a kit for our trucks

Sweet !!

I am thinking about taking my CalTracs off.Of course I only have one track experience to go by,but I can't see that they helped me or anyone else at Breakaway Dragway .

They do seem to help the truck come out of corners pretty good, though.

BTW IF they do come out, they are already spoken for

caltracs don't help as much with traction as most would wish, but i wouldn't take them off....... they stop wheel hop & keep it mostly straight in a burn-out.... :)

what is the white thing on the spring??? help with the squeezing??

i ran mine without them and left the aluminum bushing and triangles in there for a long time paul. your cool ild leave them

Paul, if you want to pick up a QC set I'll stay late one night and put them back on for you. The hard part is done and with the right parts it would be pretty easy to put it back. We need to check and see where the alighnment hole is on the QC setups and make sure it matches the Bell Tech flip kit.

Hey John I am calling them first thing Monday to see what we can do on this situation bro, and will let either you or paul know bub:D
