Have a problem with axle

Truck is a QC and lowered with a 2-4. Looking at each side of rear of truck the tire on the drivers side sticks out about a 1" from fender more than the passenger side which doesn't stick out at all. When I look at the rear shackles there is a spacer on the top mounting point. On the drivers side the spacer is towards the inside of the truck and on the passenger side the spacer is towards the outside of the truck. Is this right or where they installed wrong and do you think this is what is causing the problem.

I would think that would shove the rear to one side. . .

Sadly, I have no idea which side the spacer is supposed to be on. Someone with a lowered QC will come along shortly. You may want to try and PM outnumbered or amtrucker22.

the easiest thing to do is just put the spacers the same on both sides and see.

but other than that, loosen everything up and make sure its settled correctly, i have seen some that have been done that are tightened down in the incorrect position and causing similar problems

I had the same problem and didn't realize it till my grandpa was drivin behind me and said my truck was driving sideways. needless to say my lowering block wasn't centered on one side. i took the u-bolts loose centered it and got it realigned and its good to go.

I had a similar issue, I went a local Drop/Lift shop and they had a rack of OEM u bolts off some big trucks they lifted or dropped. I brought the ubolts in from stinkers kit and my stock ones and matched up some ubolts that were substantially larger. Dont know what vehicle they came off of. They just gave them to me. I liked them because they were grade 8 hardware, unbelievably better than stock and even more so than what comes in the kit.

I did have to enlarge the holes on the mounting plate as the u bolts were thicker than stock. The heavy duty nuts and ubolts allowed me to really torque them down to "spec". And checking them a week later and 3 months later, not a single nut moved when i checked the torque.

In retrospect i would have picked a u bolt 2 inches shorter as i dont like the bolt extending as far beyond the nut as the drop kits do.
