i'm having valve covers,t-stat and intake powder coated..i know the t-stat has an o-ring which can be re-used. what about the gaskets for the valve covers and intake? will they require new gaskets? or can i re-use these. by the way i'm going to paint the throttle body,i'm reluctant to tear it down for powder coating.

They're all re-useable...

i dont know what color you are getting, but i did mine in wrinkle black and used a high heat wrinkle paint for the throttle body. also when you are sending stuff out to be powder coated, send the throttle bracket as well.

thanks for the help guys..going with, red throttle body,t-stat, and red valve covers with black lettering and gloss black intake.:p

okay another question...how do the fuel rails come off the manifold? do i have to open up the fuel system? or do the rails come off the intake and i can set them aside?

I always just set them aside and left the fuel lines hooked up.

thanks steve, how do you remove the rails? do they come out with the injectors attached? are they just pressed in?

Yep, just remove the three 1/4" x 20 bolts and pull up, they're snug but it's just the o-rings holding them in. Start on one end or the other and go with firm steady pressure.

Be sure to use a little lube on the o-rings when you're re-installing the injectors too.;)

You'll love the look on the intake. I happen to have one available in gloss black, you know.:)
