Hawaii under a Tsunami Watch!!

Oh shit!!!! Not good. 8.3 earthquake off of Japan. If there are waves they are supposed to hit 12.30 ish. Thats about 4 hours from now. I live less than 2 football fields away from the ocean, about 8 feet above sea level!!! And on the westside of the island. Not good. Man I hope we dont get this.

I have been through this several times before, but after the Christmas tsunami to hit Indo........its way different!!!! Could be a long night here.......but I hope not.

I just read MSNBC....it doesn't say too much about Hawai'i....keep your fingers crossed Bro! I know I am!:(

I dunno??? I'm kinda up on a mountain but I can see the water from my house. We're maybe 75 feet up so I thin we're somewhat safe....never really experienced a Tsunami. Hurricanes...no sweat....Tsunami's....I dunno??? I'm Nervous! I heard the bulletin on the radio when I was in the backyard talking to the neighbors. Playin this one by ear Bro! Be safe though okay!!!!:dontknow: :(

No...I'm in Kaneohe....Watching the news and its saying theyre investigating right now. If there is one coming its estimated time of arrival is 12:23 am. Keeping my eyes peeled. I think I'm south of Honolulu!:dontknow: I'm still trying to get my bearings here.

Yup...in between Honolulu and Waikiki. But on the coast...actually more like a peninsula.:dontknow:

Dude your on the windward side.......ie the opposite side of the island which faces Japan!!!! You would only be in danger of a reach around......opps make that a wrap around!!!!! LOL

Thanks Patrick that put it in perspective. We know the basic lay of the area but just can't read any of the street signs :dontknow: :D :rock:
