I would like to wish our friends in Hawaii (Patrick and others) good luck in this time of crisis. I hope everyone is ok.

Early this morning, the Islands were struck by up to 20 earthquakes. 6-7 of which were major earthquakes. There were reports of them being as heavy as 6.4 to 6.7 on the richter scale.

Patrick, please let us know you are ok... As soona as you can! If anyone has his number, please check to see if he is ok!

HONOLULU (AP) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 struck Hawaii early Sunday morning, waking up residents and knocking out power.

The U.S. Geological Survey also reported several aftershocks, including one measuring a magnitude of 5.8. No damage reports were immediately available.

The quake occurred at 7:07 a.m. local time, 10 miles north-northwest of Kailua Kona, a town on the west coast of the Big Island, said Don Blakeman, a geophysicist at the National Earthquake Information Center, part of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Blakeman said researchers were still trying to ascertain how many aftershocks struck and how large.

Blakeman said there was no risk of a Pacific-wide tsunami, but a possibility of significant wave activity in Hawaii.

The quake occurred about 155 miles to the southeast of Honolulu, the state capital, in Oahu
 
patrick hope you are ok.did mikey go to the islands,could be the cause of the quakes.
 
yeah my parents called and said theres no power anywhere. hopefully it can get back up and running again soon.

I told my Gf that my truck friends would be worried about me! You guys really rock!:rock:

I came downstairs at 7 am to watch football.....at 707 the couch started shaking. I had never been in a quake other than some small ones we had last year. This baby 6.6 really shook the shit out of the house. Thank God we suffered no damage or injuries. My GF and I were kinda freaked out. I had no idea how noisy it gets during one. Everything on the walls, counters, shelves furniture was bouncing. It was really weird. Our power was off till about noon..............so I saw no football!!!:mad: That sucked. Maui was spared any real damage. The Big Island is the one that got phocked up. Oahu is also without power in many places.


I really appreciate everybodies concerns. It makes a brother feel good. I had some other stuff happen this weekend and I dont have time to post that yet. I will come back later. Right now I have some people over at the house and I wanted to post that I was ok.
