My HID guy was showing me this housing as its a projector and it will control the beam pattern better, anyone have these? I'd like to see a pic of them on a truck as I'm not sure how I feel about them. Seeing them on someones truck might help me make a choice one way or the other.

What kind of headlights are on your truck and how much were they?

go stock with hid's!:D

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna go stock housing with an HID set up just a bummer to loose high beam but then again I don't think I use it very often, more so just to tell slow people to move out of my way :D
Should have the kits shortly, gonna do a nice Yellow HID in the fog as well. I'm going to do a nice step by step pictorial that we can post in the DIY if there isn't one already. I have found a great HID supplier that is interested in selling to the fourm memebers if we don't have one already, great service and website. Xenondepot.com

the black ones i got off ebay took them off and went back to stock with hids. the stock headlights have no cut offs so when you go hid the are soo bright alll over ,you can see signs light up for a mile it seems you dont even need hi beams

That can be good and bad....Good cause your getting lots of lighting output but bad as the beam pattern isn't controled properly which could cause blinding to on coming traffic(which is way NTHSA band the sales of aftermarket HID's in the US) and improper lighting as it kinda just sprays everywhere. I had a very good friend who worked Catz, they made some of the best HID kits ever! High beam low beam etc, they actualy had bulb pattens and correct the HID bulbs for a proper beam pattern in a OE housing. Because an HID bulb is a different temp the light output is a different pattern so the OE filiment designed housing reflector can have a difficult time focusing the light output properly hense the blinding spray, so if someone made a nice projector beam it would be kick ass. The ones I have on my Kodiak are projectors and they rock, great beam pattern and it cuts off at the right height so I don't blind on coming traffic or the cars I pull that beast behind in traffic.

show us pic's when you are done!

I have the lights similar to those on my Ram 3500, i installed HID low beam & HID high beam. They are super bright with the HID. The projectors in cheap headlight are crap. You have to use HID with them to be bright. I had to mod the holes for the HID capsules to fit.
